This dress is breathtaking. The silk ruched bodice is flattering to all body types, especially curvy ones. The bodice holds everything together spectacularly. There is no need for a bra and this is coming from a woman with 34 DD's. The layered organza skirt flows beautifully and softens the entire look. Winnie Couture removed the train, making the dress all one length.
I had already purchased a simple dress for my Texas Hill Country wedding, but my mother, aunt and bridesmaids insisted we go to a boutique to try on “real” dresses. My aunt requested that I try on a mermaid dress, but as a curvy girl, I knew I would never look good in one. Reluctantly, I slipped into the “Khaleesi” only to glance at myself in the mirror and for the first time, I felt like a real bride and a beautiful one at that.
While this dress is nothing short of magical to me, I’m practical and with no children to wear this gown, it seems ridiculous to keep it in a box in my attic when it can bring joy to another bride on the most important day of her life.
