RELAXED BALLGOWN WITH SCOOP BACK
The Dress This beautiful dress is a perfect balance between traditional and modern. The design is flattering and the interior corset is amazing. I loved the many buttons that trail down the back of the dress and the pockets!
I had originally purchased this for a larger wedding but due to covid, my wedding was scaled back to a small elopement with our families. Because the ceremony was scaled back, the dress was worn to a simple ceremony in Sonoma followed by dinner. It was very gently worn (ie no dance floor for this wedding!)
From the designer: A casual take on the classic ballgown silhouette, this relaxed ballgown with scoop back from Essense of Australia was designed with the no-fuss bride in mind. Soft ruching highlights the bodice of this gown, accented with a slight V-neckline and shoestring straps. From the waist, the Mikado fabric extends into a ballgown skirt, complete with pockets. A slight scoop is the focal point on the back of the gown and is balanced out with a slight train. The back of this relaxed ballgown with scoop back zips up beneath fabric-covered buttons
I have had the dress professionally cleaned and it's ready for its next adventure!
Alterations This dress had the shoulder straps adjusted so they wouldn't fall down. A bustle was added. It is a french bustle with ties underneath Lastly, the bust darts were slightly adjusted for a better fit. The hem was not altered.
